Solberge Hall Hotel joins Classic Lodges growing group
Classic Lodges, owner of eight hotels throughout the UK, has bought Solberge Hall in Northallerton, Yorkshire, bringing the total number of hotels in the group up to 17, including nine partner properties.
Set between the Yorkshire Dales and the Vale of York, the 24-bedroomed Georgian Mansion sits in nine acres of gardens and woodland, on the outskirts of Northallerton and eight miles from Thirsk, and is already considered one of North Yorkshire’s premier wedding venues.
Solberge Hall will be the fourth Classic Lodges hotel in the county alongside The Old Swan in Harrogate, Grinkle Park in Easington and Bagden Hall in Denby Dale. The Group is quickly building a company of event led country house hotels, and this news follows on the back of recent Partner Property additions including the Parkway Hotel & Spa in Newport and Hadley Park in Telford.
Richard Grime, Managing Director of Classic Lodges, says Solberge Hall is a magnificent addition to its portfolio of hotels: “We are looking forward to working with the team at the hotel to continue to develop its excellent reputation in the North Yorkshire market for weddings and family events,†he says.
“We will be investing considerably in the hotel over the next 12 months to improve the guest experience,†Richard adds. “The hotel has a significant number of weddings booked this year and we have great plans to work with the Chef to relaunch the menus and develop a new outdoor wedding venue.â€
